The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

RMD: lol, I know what you mean about medications these days; I recall that I thought Bactine was a wonder drug after Iodine and Mercuracom (sp?) that left big red stains; I also recall Furst McNess salve, got that on my chest a lot, but it came in a cool metal tin, that I got when it was done. Still, somehow a lot of grew to adulthood.

G:great pics, cool house; from the looks of the backyard, you qualify as a 'ridge runner'. I'll bet you have the cedar tree on your 'range finder card'. thanks for posting them.

Been having some Photoshop fun tonight. Here is my latest creation. This is definitely "Stinker"!

ROFL!!!!!

I wrote her back and told her it was silly.I hope you told her it was cute, too! She might have been trying to tell you how well she thinks of you, but can't say it to your face!

Here is my latest creation. This is definitely "Stinker"!Gollum is better looking!

An improvement. The H1s were $100,000! I saw a H1 Hummer yesterday with an American flag paint job. Gaudy and patriotic at the same time.
I wonder who owns it. People in the Detroit area don't put much flash in their wheels unless they're dope dealers. But no doper would be caught dead with a ride painted like an American flag.
If I ever hit the lottery big, my second Hummer will be done like that. My first one will be painted in GI camo, with a dummy M60 on top.

Gee thanks ecurbh. I didn't wanna keep my breakfast down anyway...

Good morning all! It's FRIDAY!!!
I'm in early. Jr. had to be at school at 7:00 a.m. to make up a science quiz.
Can I tell this story here? Oh, of course I can...
We had a biology pro in college who would give pop "quizzies" as he liked to call them.
One morning a sweet little freshman girl said to him "If these are your quizzies, I'd hate to see your testies..."
(I am not making this up)

Did you see it close? that hummer? - Did it have other symbols on it? - I saw one once like that that was an army recruiter vehicle.... (They draw the guys in that way!)
Hullo! - Good morning!
To: Corin Stormhands
LOL corin!

Mornin' Hair.
Apparently both coasts are awake and the middle of the country is sleeping in...
To: 300winmag
If you hit the lottery, you could afford the Class III License to have a real M-60... but I'd take the M-240G... it's what we're usin' these days... a much better vehicular mounted weapon...

We are soft in the middle!
It is only 5:00 in the morning here!
Been watching the fire story since about 4.
To: g'nad
Jr. and I want to go see
Gods and Generals too. He asked earlier this week if the friends that went to see TTT could go with us...you know the dad that talked all the way through.
I told him DO NOT ASK THEM WITHOUT CHECKING FIRST WITH ME!
To: g'nad
Let us know how you like the movie! It is Friday isn't it? hmmmmm.
To: HairOfTheDog
The one in RI? Seamus knows the place.
To: Corin Stormhands
How about "Your friends can come but they can't bring their parents." Oh that'll never come out right.
