Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

OOOPs...meant to put that in Italics...was making an obscure reference to the ordeal Pippin had to go through at the meeting of Denethor and Gandalf. All he got to eat were some small cakes. He later tells someone indirectly that a hobbit would consider it bad manners, not to mention torturous, to keep a hobbit waiting while others ate.

I look at how people dress now...so trashy and ugly, and I think "Didn't anyone learn anything from the sixties??"
I swear there are new jeans out there that look like they've been drug in the dirt. Brand new jeans so old looking that I wouldn't buy at Goodwill!
I have no interest in going back to the sixties.
My sneaker style is classic and has been around since the 50s, but everything else about me if firmly rooted in the 80s!
