Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

The snow is piled up about 4 feet on either side of the driveway now. Almost can't see the mailbox on its post from the front door! At least it will add some moisture to the ground when it finally melts, in May or June! Well, I'm unhappy here today because our temps are going back to the mid-30's today. That was after 70 yesterday. :-)

I'm here ruthy, but not for long... lotta catchin up to do...
got back yesterday at noon, and shoveled snow for 6 hours straight...

Since 2JM sent us her bathroom pics, here's the master bath... note the "guy" sink and the "lady" sink...

Wasn't Gregory Peck the guy who played in
Shane?.......No, wait a minute, I think that was Alan Ladd.
Anyway, whichever actor it was I remember being told that the actor who played Shane wasn't really as tall as the cameras made him out to be. That he was often standing on a box.....maybe it was Gimli that played Shane....
