Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

OT and I were wondering if something was going on...you seemed a bit quieter these last few days. I wondered if you'd gotten overwhelmed with cookies! If only it it were that simple, huh?
I sure understand what you are saying and I hope the very best for you, although I'm pretty sure if things work out well for you (which I'm sure they will), we'll see even less of you. Which would be a little sad...heck, I miss you when you are gone all day to Seattle! LOL

Hair, forget my last post.
I've "known" you almost a year now. Things may seem topsy-turvy for you now, but from what I know, you'll be alright. Things will work out for you.
It sounds like you are about to begin something exciting. I will be praying for you to have a sense of peace and calmness about what is going on around you. You have lots of friends in here pulling for you. Not too many people can say that.
We love ya Hair, you'll be ok.
Oh, and my daughter wouldn't mind if you stabled your horse and pony near our house. ;^)

I bought my wife "Kate & Leopold" for her birthday yesterday. I didn't think I'd like Hugh Jackman, but I did. Maybe it helped that I saw him in "X-Men" first.

You're bringing your mando to Entmoot, right? If I make it to Entmoot, I will definitely be bringing my mando! Couldn't stand to be without it that long, if nothing else!
My old mandolin went on some pretty cool adventures with me (NYC, the ferry to Staten Island and to a wonderful music store there, to Maine a few times and to a music camp in TN...) It's only fair that this one gets to go some places, too!

You work for a college now. They'll be on break during that time, so you should be able to at least make it for the weekend.Yeah, but the trouble is, while the students and faculty are on break, we're preparing for the next semester...
I'm not really that worried about being able to get the time. More worried about the travel part. I'd have to get someone to take me to the airport, and I may have trouble convincing Dad / brother to take me to go meet a bunch of people I've met on-line. That old thing again. ;-) I can always take a bus, I guess... Though I worry about the other end, too...how to get from the airport to a hotel or whatever. We'll figure it out as the time draws nearer, I guess!
