Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It is a good place for her to come and learn about internet people with a pretty high degree of safety. Yeah, ya gotta figger she already knows about Dad's aversion to skivvies...

Poor Corin....

Yeah, ya gotta figger she already knows about Dad's aversion to skivvies... I will be extra nice to her. What a hard thing for a kid.

It is a good place for her to come and learn about internet people with a pretty high degree of safety. She will be guarded here. That's what I figured too. All I have to worry about is the occasional Gondorian in a windstorm picture. ;^)
I told her I don't want her wandering outside our little refuge. We'll see what happens though.
Well, I'm off for the night, I gotta get my Sunday School lesson ready for tomorrow. See ya'll later.

Those were great pics Vim! I'm so glad things went well and Mrs. Vim only thinks we're slightly nuts now. ;^)
I saw the pic of your boy on the snowbank and thought he was standing on a big pile of beach sand. Oh well, maybe next January he can stand on a big ole pile of beach sand.

Beach sand sounds fabulous right about now. I really want to try to make it happen, even if it's only for the weekend....

Ok, one more thing and then I'm really gone for the night.
We went and say TTT again last night, and when Legolas is whining to Aragorn in Helm's Deep and Aragorn says that he will die with the men, you can see one of the prop guys behind Aragorn and Alan Lee is next to the prop guy. I like noticing stuff like that.
We went to the Merritt Island Nature Preserve and saw a whole bunch of different birds. We also got to see an eagle nest with a momma eagle and a baby(s) eagle. Also saw an alligator.
Driving there we saw a whole bunch of TV trucks, I think it was for the one week memorial for Columbia. The family members were probably there since it was the town they lived in. All day long we could see the Vehicle Assembly Building off in the background. I couldn't take my eyes off it for most of the day.

What a neat place! - Can't wait to see it. Is that enormous flag always up, or just on occasions?
To: ksen
Looking forward to EntMoot, ksen! How close are you to Nasa? And what's the weather like today?
