Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Of course, there's NO WAY I'll catch up on everything... :::sigh:::
Saw the movie last night at my favorite theater (the Cinerama)...and found myself wondering, how did the elves know to go to Helm's Deep? The message came from Elrond, I assume, but when he and Galadriel are communicating she doesn't mention any particular place, does she?
Also noticed what seemed like another cut scene that we will see (I hope) on the extended DVD. When Treebeard says his home is near the roots of the mountains, we cut away too fast--I hope we get to see Merry and Pippin in Treebeard's home trying out his ent-draught.

Maybe I'll have to get an electric chain saw afterall. I was thinkin' the same thing. But my neighbor came over earlier and is gonna help get the branches out of our yard, along with some trees that need to go. He has a wood stove and I'm more than happy to let him have as many trees as he wants.

I got some of the stuff up to the road access today. They stopped collecting on the right side of my driveway so I still have tomorrow to put stuff on the left side. I should have some wood for The House.
I still have that tree on my driveway and half a pine tree in the back yard. I'll have to take out the standing half of that pine and a few others too.
