Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I was thinking of the bit between Denethor and Faramir before Gandalf arrives.
To: Overtaxed
Yep.... same scenes, rearranged to run a little longer each place.
To: Sam Cree
How's it going?Hmm, have been better, have been worse. Sorry you had to draw a hippie. How's it going otherwise?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
As I recall, Gandalf gets to Minas Tirith before Faramir does. Is PJ changing that?
To: HairOfTheDog
I tend to agree with Hair, although I am willing to hold out until the EE version comes out. I had fewer problems with the scene changes than I did with switches in characterizations and the Indiana Jones moment Jackson put in for Viggo. While it did get to be rather annoying that we had such choppy cuts of Fanghorn strewn in among the other story lines, I would give TTT a B+...
hows it goin everyone?

I would have run most of the story with the ents before the battle started at Helm's Deep... Let the ent dialogue happen while the hunters are dealing with healing Theoden and the evacuation of Edoras... so that the ents storm Isenguard at the same moment the battle begins at Helm's Deep. Then the pacing would work for me better.

when you got tired of one part of the movie, it changed for you for awhile. Exactly. Like the remote...
To: Overtaxed
I don't think we really know how that is gonna play out.
To: Overtaxed
No, you're right, I was mis-remembering again.
To: Corin Stormhands
Exactly. Like the remote... Dang men and their remotes! Put the remote down, or I will fetch the towel....
To: Alkhin
Hi! Just mellowing out....the Bailey's is kicking in.
To: Alkhin
Going good! - More people about on a Friday night than I feared there was gonna be!
To: Corin Stormhands
What the heck are you watching, Corin?

(the female nude model was very cute, made up for the scrawny hippie)
To: Sam Cree
As long as you don't have to glaze the hippy.
To: HairOfTheDog
The hippy might have been glazed to begin with.
To: Overtaxed; HairOfTheDog
There was a female model a couple months ago we had, that fell asleep during her pose, began snoring, tossing and turning. Difficult to draw.
Well good night all, am pretty tired.
To: Sam Cree; All
Good night Sam!
I'm turning in as well, good night all...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Me too....Good Night all!
