Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

it's a super Walmart, so it has groceries and suchI LOVE those stores! There's one across the higway from where my sister lives in MS, and when we go to visit her, the kids love going to that store!
When our girl cousins get together for our reunion every year (at this same sister's house), we usually spend a couple of hours just roaming around the store, getting clothes, toiletries, food, etc. One year, we didn't get there til about 1 in the morning after having picked someone up at the airport. We had the place mostly to ourselves (the 7 of us); it was FUN!

Have you told Jr. about this program? Yes, and he's interested. But the carrot and stick approach doesn't seem to work. If we have to send him to summer school, he'll miss choir tour, this program, his week with his aunt that he's had since he was three, football and very likely our week at the beach.
He just doesn't care. Well, no that's not it, he does care. But for some reason he's willing to risk all of these. I don't get it.

You bet! Just talked to him on the phone last night... John's still in 29 Palms... he and his wife retired from the Corps last summer...

BTW I've got the Canon S300 similar to yours and love it. But it's a little hard to operate with mittens on ;^)
