Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Susan feels the same way, full service car washes are handled by yours truly. I had avoided the drive throughs while they had the big rolling beater brushes but since they have gone to the hanging and swishing type, I'll take the truck and the car through them. The underblast is really great.

Hi Hair. Less than two days until ultraminimultispecies moot. I just turned in a signed agreement (with resignation letter) to my [soon to be former] employer. If he agrees to my severence conditions (not all that much but important to me), then I'm done there and go on to whatever awaits.
I think it's only 50-50 that he'll take it (but it's definitely in his interest to do so and be finished with it). He's a bit of a hard-ass. If not it gets messy with Personnel Appeals and hearings and such. I don't think they want that -- this way is cheaper for them.

Actually, it pretty stupid...and more than half my fault. This guy (one of the faculty at the college) had been told over and over that he was NOT allowed to have WP. Well...I came to do some upgrades on his system and he told me he needed Wordperfect installed. I shoulda known better than to just say "OK", and I'm beating myself up over it...but there are a number of people there who DO have unique applications for whatever reason, and since he seemed pretty sure of his request, I just assumed it was OK. Well...turned out he was just taking advantage of the newbie. My boss said to make sure I ask permission in the future, but he was MUCH more upset with that professor for reeling me in.
I still feel like a knucklehead, but all's well that ends well.

I went to get the tickets for Saturday and they had to change the showtimes from last Saturday. Note the time on the tickets...
