Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Just got back from the doc. They took my blood and that was all. Matthew had his yearly exam and got a clean bill of health in every way.

I take Joshua in for his yearly on Monday...vaccine time...

A Catoosa teacher is behind bars following an incident at a Tulsa massage parlor. Tulsa Police were called to the China Moon Therapeutic Massage Parlor near 31st and 129th East Avenue around 8 PM Tuesday. Police say employees detained Jerry Goss after he sexually assaulted an employee during a massage. Police say Goss told arresting officers that he was a 6th grade teacher in the Catoosa School District.

I know what you mean, especially those kind that you have to drive into the 'slot', put the car in neutral, and be carried along through the wash. I'm always nervous that I'm not going to get the tire in the right place, then get stuck the car wash. Silly and illogical, I know! But I've sucked it up, and gone with the car wash so I can get the super duper undercarriage wash and rust preventative.

It does feel wierd in there, though, because the car is getting buffetted with the water then the air spraying all around!

They've made a new kind of car wash, however, one in which you drive in to the point where the light tells you to stop, then the machine travels back and forth around YOU. That is a little less nervewracking! See if there are any of these 'Touchless' car washes anywhere near you.

Feeling tired and lazy today so I whipped up a bunch of Philly Cheese Steak subs for everyone. Potato salad and corn on the cob is on the table. :)

I use the touchless ones.

I like having a clean car, but every time I'm in the car wash (usually only in the winter when they close the big doors) my overactive imagination goes into high gear and I imagine the brushes coming up over my windshield to reveal a psycho killer standing there. Or a face revealed in the steam right next to the driver's side window. Eeks. It bugs me more if I'm washing my car at night than during the day, but I still always think of it LOL.
