Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

What method of weight loss are you using?

Well after 30 yrs. of trying most everything else, I've discovered the secret: TA DA! Eat less, exercise more! I know, BORING, but if it works, do it! I finally decided that I wasn't going to be fat and fifty, so I have until July to get most of this off! I was doing really well until Christmas, but have slacked off the last month. I'm getting back to it though, so I'll keep moving on down. The best part is buying new clothes as I lose!!

As for the RATS, they were as rude last night as they usually are. Last time, Her Heinous was yawning and acting generally bored. This time she was a tad more discreet, but not very much; she talked with 'Moanin Joe" Lieberman the whole time. Of course Nancy Pelosi did her rude thing by shaking her head and saying "No, No" for the camera when Dubya was talking about the tax cuts. I loved it because he pulled no punches. It wasn't a 'go along to get along' speech. He laid it all out for the Dems as well as Hussein! He'll have a big fight on his hands, but he's shown he can fight well and get most of what he wants! It helps that he is thought well of by so many.

I didn't pay much attention to what I ate during Christmas, am paying for that now. But it is still under control. Glad you are doing well with what seems like a common sense way of doing it.

It is amazing that the Democrats insist on high taxes, which means putting more and more of the economy into the government sector, and basically, moving towards socialism. I got mad at my wife's cousin the other night when he said we can't lower taxes because we have a defict, made me be rude to him, which I regretted right away. But it is upsetting to hear leftist baloney from otherwise intelligent folks.

The Dems should put their money where their mouths are and volunteer to be exempted from any tax cuts.

Dollars to doughnuts, NOT ONE of them will pass up the opportunity to increase their own personal bottom line for ANY reason, whether it be the deficit, the poor and needy or the environment.
