Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Gidget likes shows where the dogs are more aggressive. The fast-work kind of competitions like Agility and Flyball and stuff. Those dogs tick her off! ;~D

Well, I love the sporting group, but the Labradors never win. Not enough flash and dazzle in a gentleman's hunter. But I also have a lot of appreciation for all working dogs, herding dogs and such.

My favorite breed is Boston Terrier. Black Labs are my second favorite. Both are breeds that I had a lot of contact with when I was young, naturally... my grandparents had a Black Lab that I got to play with pretty much every Sunday during the summers, and I had two Boston Terriers while I was growing up.

Personally, I prefer to be the top predator in the food chain, with no competition near me. That's why I love my opposable thumbs... and high velocity ammo...
Our place in the Ozarks is fairly remote... There are black bear in the area, and there was a cougar on the property, though he hasn't been seen in 6 months, the occaisional track can be found...
Nothin' like competetion for the top of the chain...
