Duct Tape Wallets

People often looked at my old wallet in utter disbelief. They couldnt (or wouldnt) believe their eyes. Few ever said anything.
Yes, the wallet was made of silver duct tape. No, its not duct tape covering an old leather wallet, its made completely out of duct tape.
So, Jerry, I know you. There must be a story behind this. Funny you should ask...
Im sitting at the bar in the Red Fish brewpub in Boulder CO. I eat, I drink. When I go to pay my bill, the bartender compliments me on my wallet. It was quite colorful and made of paper. I comment that its time I replace it, but I cant find another one like it and cant bear to give it up. She replies that her roommate makes wallets out of duct tape. Chuckling, I leave her my business card and dont think much about it.
I leave her my business card and dont think much about it. Three weeks later a package arrives at my office. In it is a new duct tape wallet with a note from a complete stranger: the bartenders roommate. I was touched.
You too can own one of these totally kewl wallets. They can be ordered from Cara Hoving.
Believe you me, itll start conversations where ever you go. Ive been at a party and had people pass mine around (yes, it came back with everything intact). Order one for yourself and one to give away as a gift. Needless to say, they last a loooong time.

Duct tape and WD-40 holds God's universe together, I firmly believe this. God is made of duct tape.

Someone sent me this a while ago, I am sure it has made the rounds but was looking for a good thread to attach it to anyway. Check out rule two.
Sometimes we just need to remember what the 12 Rules of Life really are...
- Never give yourself a haircut after three margaritas.
- You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use the tape.
- The five most essential words for a healthy, vital relationship are "I apologize" and "you are right."
- Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
- Never pass up an opportunity to pee.
- If he/she says that you are too good for him/her -believe them.
- Learn to pick your battles; ask yourself, "Will this matter one year from now? How about one month? One week? One day?"
- When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm.
- If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another chance!
- Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of a bad or former relationship just might mean that the other person was right about you.
- Work is good, but it's not that important. Money is nice, but you can't take it with you. Statistics show most people don't live to spend all they saved; some die even before they retire. Anything we have isn't really ours; we just borrow it while we're here....even our kids.
- And finally... Be really good to your family and friends. You never know when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan.

God is made of duct tape. This is a serious doctrinal error and I will be praying that God, who is made of pure WD-40, will show you the light, since otherwise you will burn for eternity.
In the nearer term, he will also cause your white-out removal project to fail spectacularly.

ROTFLMAO!!!!
Thanks! You just made my day.
An office supply guy just told me that he hasn't sold correction thinner for years because he can't get any.
Maybe if I try to pull the stuff up with duct tape.......
That was supposed to be a joke, but I wonder if it would work....hmmmm...

It's the enviroweenies fault:
http://www.papermate.com/sanford/consumer/papermate/jhtml/faq/faqlp.jhtml
But it sounds like that stuff might not have worked anyway on the newer formulation (and my Google search revealed that Wite-Out brand has also discontinued thinners). However, check the "Can Liquid Paper be removed from fabric" section on the above FAQ link. If those products will dissolve it from fabric, they should dissolve it from paper too. If you're using one of the other brands, you might want to check with its manufacturer in case it's a very different formulation (see Wite-Out link below).
I've been using Liquid Paper brand, the type which comes has a green label (I think they have some other special-use types with other color labels). At any rate, the trouble with that stuff isn't getting it off paper, but keeping it on! Often when I go to write over it with a ballpoint pen, large flakes start falling off, revealing bits of what I'd tried to cover over. So when I want to remove little chunks after it's dried, the fingernail method works fine -- the Wite-Out company even recommends this method on their stain removal page
http://www.wite-out.com/about/stain.html , along with nail polish remover for tougher removal projects.
Have fun, and I earnestly do wish you happiness and success on this project, since eternity is looking pretty bleak for you on account of the doctrinal problem.
