The number one rumor was that Dr. Pepper is carbonated prune juice.

I remember my grandmother telling me this. She also said the little clock logo Dr. Pepper used was to remind you to be "regular". Old folks really have an obsession with their bowels...

I was going to say this was "believed" back in the late 1940's. In fact as I recall the prune juice idea was simply accepted. I'm trying to remember if Dr. Pepper was even advertised as prune juice? Ah memory what a frail thing!

LOL I went from eating anything I pleased to two scoops of raisons in my bran cereal twice a day like it or not.

A week in the hosp. puking and on Iv twice this year I am obsessive about my bowels and their sounds.

My advice eat all the crappy foods while you still can and enjoy!
