I'm wondering what your all-time tinfoil or Art Bell-like thread in FR has been. You know, the five thousand words paragraphs, single spaced, no capitals, screed by those expecting the end of the world, the take over of the world by the Illuminati, or the return of Walter Mondale...wait, that may actually happen.
FreeRepublic has been a source of news and commentary, but it also provides information on some of the most unusual topics out there.

The Trannie threads were posted by Nita Nupress based on tips she was getting. She always included a disclaimer, but the tipster had a lot of strangely verifiable information coupled with troubling predictions. It created quite a stir.
