I learned today that my friend, P7M13, Len Baker of Denver, Colorado, died last Thursday in an automobile accident.
He was an amazing man - his profile page was simple, stating:
Texas Aggie, Class of 1976, Graduated 4 years late, Ag Ed Major, Rode the horse, Wore the boots
He was a devout Christian, worked countless hours in his Church, a devoted father and a good friend.
He reminded me constantly to see things from the point of view of others, and I will miss him more than I can express.

So sorry to hear of this, Texasgirl.
May the Holy Spirit be with his family and friends, and ease the sense of loss all of you are feeling.
For him, we rejoice that He now dwells with our Father.

Thank you for the ping, Tonkin. You are a gem yourself.
Whyis, I am so very sorry. My prayers are with his family and with you for all the sadness you must feel. Time was created by G-d to heal the worst of wounds, and to give eternal peace to those who merit it. P7M13 surely merited it. He is really welcomed home now.
Bless you. He has already been blessed. I'm sure of it.

"His Trail Boss decided that it was time for Len to come to the Bunkhouse."
That's a beautiful analogy.

Tonk, we need to get Len's name added to the Memorial Wall, but I can't remember who was doing that.
Do you?

This is why we fly the flag 24/7, lit dusk til dawn, protected from inclement weather.
So the Lone Star is never alone.
God Bless You for your service, P7M13.
