In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Not only did I hear it but I did see it. But I would have been just as happy had I only heard it on the radio.
Picture the President, with a dark sky backdrop, and the Statue of Liberty over his left shoulder (as you look toward him) and you saw it it all.
Unfortunately my hubby is out of town and I had to make a choice of talking to him longer on the phone or listening to the speech. Thankfully hubby understood that the speech won that round.

Well you have to admit, dubya, saying we use decorum in here was a little over the top, don't you think? I could have found a better word....I suppose, this is Word for the Day after all :-)

I couldn't have done the church thing today, for the same reason I wouldn't watch the TV coverage today.
I'm looking forward to Bush's speech tomorrow though.

Lots of "getting justice" talk. That, I like.

Calm yourself. Take it to the back.

I did my church thing through the corn and soybean fields, which is generally how I usually do it.
But I will say that when I drove past the State Capitol at about 8:35 this morning I was extremely impressed with huge number of people that showed up for the service that started at 8am.

There was quite a display at the fire department in our town this morning. I caught sight of it as I drove by to deliver my mail route. All three bay doors were open and three of the company's rigs were perfectly polished to gleaming and standing in the yard. The flag stood at half-staff and a crowd had gathered. A single fireman stood at attention in front of all of this, impecably dressed, solemn-faced. I couldn't help myself: I saluted as I drove slowly by, with tears streaming down my face.

It is obvious that you do not care for OPH, no one really cares, with that said - I've got a question for you in reference to you coming into this particular thread:
Have you NEVER made reference to another poster on a thread which has nothing to do with poster you were referencing?
I don't think any of us can answer yes to that question.
This is a friendly, daily thread - we goof on each other and can get a bit out of line at times. But when we've got a beef with one or another we take it to FReepmail.
You've invaded our space and made a pest of yourself - I can't speak for all the "Students" but I can speak for a majority when I say we don't appreciate what you've done this evening..
Please don't waste anyone's time by repeating your reference to your other posts - had you continued reading before you jumped in you would have seen that the rest of us had dropped the issue. You are now the guilty party.
