In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Like to see Neil follow up with a new Version of Ohio.
OHIO (The Hussein Prophecy)
Many soldiers and Bush is coming,
I'm finally on my own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
I'll be dead soon I Know.
Gotta get down to it
Soldiers are hunting us down
I Should have been gone long ago.
What if I that knew that
Poppy wouldn't be dead on the ground
And he'd be pres. How could I know?
Gotta get down to it
Soldiers are gunning us down
I Should have been gone long ago.
After Florida I knew
I'd be found dead on the ground
How can you run when you know?
Too many soldiers and Dubya's coming,
I'm finally on my own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
I'll be dead, soon I know.....

thanks, doubled. i read this but didn't recall where.
In her newspaper column on Dec. 8, 1942, first lady Eleanor Roosevelt told Americans why she opposed the commemoration of Pearl Harbor. "It is not a date for a holiday," she wrote. "It is a date that should make us work." That was then, in the fashionable phrase of the day, and this is September 11, 2002, and the grandchildren of the World War II generation can afford the indulgence of an extravagantly mawkish anniversary amid what they are told is "war."

A fitting word for today, but let me use it to illustrate
this apparent revanche Janet Reno is planning in Florida. Let me present this story, because...why not a little comic relief, eh?
I just have to mention how, watching the commemorative services on TV this morning, yet another quote came to my mind, that, if I may say so, is a bit more to the point than the Gettysberg Address:
"No more tears now; I will think about revenge."
- Mary, Queen of Scots
To: Bella_Bru
Alqueda, Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein....just the beginning in our quest for taleonic yet justified
revancehe. And here is something cool to say to somebody just before taking revanche

"she's all aquiver in anticipation of tomorrow's visit by the maid....Who will with great cupidity, no doubt, will shoot arrows of lovely lust, love, and looooooong lunges of seeking liquid limpness.....

Good morning, Miss Bella, glad to see you recovered from your flu.
It would appear that with the removal of Central Command from Tampa and installation in Qatar that there is a very real revanchistic mind set in the Military. General Tommy Franks has presented his attack plans for the invasion of Iraq to the Joint Chiefs of Staffs, to use or not to use, but it is a plan. They seemed to like his Afgan Plan.
Now,the stage is set for the revanche we all want against the MadMan Hussien. God Bless our fighting forces, the United States of America and it's Commander in Chief, George W. Bush.

I don't know if
this will help your mood, but you might get a chuckle out of the fact that Floriduh still can't run an election.
