We've had a teenager in our house, one time four at the same time, for the last 13 years! My temporary insanity seems to have become permanant!

DNA was not found in the jeep or the Smart home linking Ricci to the abduction. I think that's old news. As for the Jeep the only DNA that could have been linked positively to the abduction would have been a large amount of concentrated DNA as you might find if Elizabeth had been raped in the Jeep. Notice that the article doesn't exclude FORENSIC evidence. It is still possible that traces from the red silk pajamas might have been found in the Jeep.

Remembering my own & my friend's antics, I can testify to the truth of it. We were just silly, though, not "worldly" at all. We were innocents.
Wow, did that change!

Read the NE article. For the most part the writer knew less about the case than we do. The only interesting part is they claimed the SLCPD believes it was Ricci only, the basic story he goes for kids bedrooms for valuables parents will think they just lost, and Liz woke up and caught him. The article claims to SLCPD the case is basically now over but the FBI believes the kidnapper is someone else, shorter and with hair on the back of his hands, that's still out there. I don't believe this story because Chief Dinse said they have other potential suspects/accomplices and they are most if not all tied to Ricci (which is what I believe, and Ricci was not the one that went in and got Liz, it was the 5'8" guy with the white baseball hat) and they want to talk to the guy that Ricci left Moul's with in Jun 8.

Our town had a football game last night, and there wasn't much shouting. Do you live in a podunk town lakey?

Good luck! We only have three now. Most of the time it is great to be with them but every once in a while.....!
To: Sherlock
Why, honey, you know more about the case than anybody....in your humble opinion.
Didn't you like the part "...the FBI believes Utah authorities are rushing to judgment...(with Ricci)" the case has them baffled?

At any rate, the NE article sure didn't boost my confidence in LE in this case any. I'm afraid it looks like SLCPD did pretty much believe the Ricci only bungled burglary theory and they have completely missed it on all these sightings of the kidnapper. The Smart family needs to hire Sherlock!

#616 - If the edition of NE is on the shelves on Monday, I'll spend two bucks. If it isn't, I'll make an appointment at the beauty salon.

Did the SLPD ever say Ricci was a suspect or was he just a potential suspect? If he was just a potential suspect then I would not say they rushed to judgement, in my opinion. Has any LE rushed to anything in this case?!!!

Why, honey, you know more about the case than anybody....in your humble opinion. If they bring Sherlock into the case I'm gonna start by working that little Moul over good, I know he knows a lot more that what he's talking. See?!?
To: Sherlock
Well, by all means, offer your services to the Smarts. I told you before to write to them & tell them.
Do bounty hunters still operate legally? Big money! But you have to have sources.

Good night all! It's been fun! Don't know when I'll be back on.

So, unless new info comes out that will blow the case up, I'll continue to believe what Moul has testified to to be true, which is the crux of this case. I totally agree with you here. The Grand Jury knows a lot more than we do and I hope that there will be indictments forthcoming.

I think SLCPD said Ricci was the top suspect. Don't quote me, though. From what I've observed lately on t.v., Ed Smart has been the one who has pushed this more than the police.

This is just the same thing the Tribune story had right after Richardss death. The article where they sourced detectives on the case. I've always felt that a good deal of that story was smoke and mirrors, calculated leaks and such to help with the case.

I'd start by demanding a photo of Remington. I know there's some reason SLCPD has come up with this lame scenario of a robbery gone bad of the girls' bedroom. Then I'd view the video of the guy in the white baseball hat stealing beer from the Federal Heights convenience store shortly before the kidnapping. Then I'd get the milkman Charlie Miller, the Shriner's security man Fred Trujillo, the searchers in Emigration canyon, the searchers that saw the pig roast dude, and Moul all together to view the sketch of the pig roast guy and have them all work together and independently with sketch artists. Then I'd check the makes & models of the cars in the Shriner's parking lot from the FBI blowups and ID work. Then I'd get photographs of Angela's brother and all her other male relatives. Then I would work over the guy that helped tow Ricci's Jeep into Moul's on May 30, someone who Ricci worked for doing repair jobs but they claim is not Remington. I'd want to know who this is and interview him. And I'd want to see a picture of a certain sex offender who's picture has been removed from the Utah Sex Offender's Registry, I think varina might remember who that was.
