[Overtaxed]

Okay...I'm on Lesson 1 and I have to keep reminding myself that it's not FR. I liked the part about Tolkien not liking French and liking Welsh and Finnish and that guy who made the comment that if Finnish was the model for Elvish did that mean that French is the Black Speech? LOL!! I almost let off a cheese-eating surrender monkey comment.

I messed that French/Black Speach comment. I did find several of the comments about a lack of maternal characters in Tolkien's work might be because of his parents death and subsequent 'adoption' by an uncle; therefore a pretty male dominated upbringing pretty interesting.

Had you really though of the lack of mothers before?
