This is really about all I know of the case so I don't know. Of course the obvious might be that since they failed to arrest him for raping the girl he was able to kill her and they didn't want to be held liable, then another girl was killed because they didn't take this animal off the street. It appears the only reason they got involved now is because of the national media spotlight since Weaver got caught raping his son's girlfried. This was kind of basically the speculation of the forensic guy Wecht on the Giraldo show tonight.

These lawsuits are throwing our justice system in the trash can. I hope, this time, that some "heads roll!"

Too, the Smarts should review their trust in LE. That PD has had its share of infighting in the past.
