Aug. 15 — Hollywood’s former golden girl, Gwyneth Paltrow, is set to shock audiences with steamy lesbian sex scenes. Paltrow is to star in a Miramax film called “Passion,” in which she plays a character who falls in love with a French countess. The flick hasn’t yet started filming, but according to sources, the script calls for explicit sex scenes between the two women.

I'm posting this because this is obviously part of Michael Eisner's plans to keep his job.

NOTE TO ADMIN MODERATOR: This is an MSNBC story and has nothing to do with any Washington Post Company property.

There was a time when Disney was very sensitive to negative publicity. Especially when it came to sex scandals. They fired Harlan Ellison from the creative team when he jokingly suggested making pornographic cartoons under the noses of Disney's censors, they fired Bob Crane in the mid '70s because someone tipped them off to his swinging lifestyle and they even fired Tommy Kirk when he came out of the closet at around the same time.
Things sure have changed since Eisner took the helm.
