Yes. Bullet casing. Was not found the first time they THOROUGHLY searched and dusted the room. It was found the second time they searched. AND...AND...they could not find any fingerprints when they searched Danille's room. Not even Danielle's! But they did find lots of DNA that did not belong to Van Dams or Westerfield. Go figure. We have Barney Fife in charge of this investigation.

Spent Super-X shell casing found in the middle of the bedroom floor after the initial crime scene investigation. Dusek says it probably fell out of the cuff on the pants of a Detective or somesuch. The shell casing is irrelevant. Take note however, leaving your hose out with draw San Diego constabulary like white on rice.
