Yes. Bullet casing. Was not found the first time they THOROUGHLY searched and dusted the room. It was found the second time they searched. AND...AND...they could not find any fingerprints when they searched Danille's room. Not even Danielle's! But they did find lots of DNA that did not belong to Van Dams or Westerfield. Go figure.
