If I was a juror, I would certainly suspect that to be the case.

To me, this part sounds like an outright lie:

I think there is something more there. I'm not sure what that is, but I don't believe Brenda for a heartbeat.

If her daughter had disappeared that night, and she had no idea what had happened to her, BvD would've re-lived (thought about) every minute of that evening a thousand times. "I can't remember" doesn't pass the sniff test.

I think there is something more here also. Considering the fact that Brenda more or less directed LE to Westerfield, one has to wonder WHY?
