Actually its called the "leader". The leader for fly fishing can come in a variety of styles (aside from sinking, slow sinking and floating). (I personally use multiple tapered slow sinking) which consists of four or so shorter lengths of increasingly lighter fine line weights tied end to end with one another. The leader is tied to the fly line (again floating or sinking depending on the situation). The reason for this is to make the correct "presentation" of the fly to the trout. In the case of rainbow (my personal favorite) the fly itself would consist be at this time of year and presuming a slower moving creek with deep pools or a spring fed pond, a wooley bugger presented quietly near the shadier cooler areas.

Trout are man's natural enemy and they are exceptionally smart with phenomenal vision. And yes, they must be stalked. My six inch cast iron skillet has offered up many of them to my pallet beside the very stream or pond from which they were caught. My fanny pack that carries a small amount of virgin olive oil mixed with a bit of lime juice and some secret culinary herbs needs replenishing periodically. I've never gone hungry.

I believe it was FresnoDa that posted the info (could be someone else though) that was on these threads, probably several weeks ago, that detailed the corruption that Pfingst was involved in and was even published in the SD U-T I believe. IF I find it I will let you know. Probably you should ask Fres if he knows where it is.

What I remember was Pfingst allowed some a witness to have sex in the courtroom (while everyone else was out) as a payoff for them giving certain testimony.

Thank you, David Faulkner, thank you SDPD. This is their best. He was their best. And what did he have to say? Ahhhh, whoops! I've done the study, but I can't understand the time. Because on Mr. Faukner's timeline, dumping was 16-17-18.

Dr. Blackbourne testified bugs were coming out of her mouth. In terms of what the officers saw, in terms of what bugs were available, the prosecution's specious theory was that ants came along and ate the eggs. He said TOD was 10 days to 6 weeks. Fits within Faulkner's timeline.

Haskell performed a series of studies (Dusek yelled at Haskell, judge had to recess, remember?) he considered maggot mass.

Beetles don't come in until much later. Their experts say flies arrive from minutes to a few hours after death. Bugs go to eyes, ears, mouth. Also go to anus and genitalia.

Flies would come only once.

On a side note, I got back from meeting with the undersheriff of Skamania County just before lunch. The Skamania County sheriff's office has of this morning opened a criminal inverstigation related to my federal civil RICO/Civil Rights case and once they confirm enough information to justify it, will be referring the criminal investigation to the FBI, U.S. Attorney for Western Washington and the Chief of the DoJ Driminal RICO Division in Washington, DC.

I am also in the process of getting my civil RICO/Civil Rights case reinstated in the USDC for Western Washington where the US District Court Judge illegally dismissed it for lack of jurisdiction.

By the time this is over, several Washington judges and politicians will be in prison, and possibly include Gov. Locke and AG Gregoire. It has been a long battle, but it looks like the end is in sight.

Two San Diego men allegedly linked to child pornography ring

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Two men arrested on child molestation and child pornography charges were part of an international ring uncovered by a Swedish watchdog group, authorities said.

Paul Whitmore of San Diego pleaded innocent Wednesday to 23 counts of child molestation and child pornography charges involving two girls ages 10 and 13. He is being held on $2 million bail.

Brooke Rowland, 40, of Poway is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on similar charges involving five children. He is being held on $1 million bail.

San Diego District Attorney Paul Pfingst said Whitmore, a child and family counselor, allowed Rowland to abuse one of the girls he allegedly molested.

``They're exchanging kids,'' Pfingst said.

Prosecutors said the two men were part of a child pornography ring in which they exchanged pictures and video of themselves molesting girls to other Internet users.

Authorities began their investigation in November after the Swedish affiliate of the child advocacy group, Save The Children, told them about the child pornography they found on the Internet, court documents showed.

Police in Denmark, Germany and the Fresno suburb of Clovis have arrested people who were allegedly part of the ring. Their names were not immediately known.

San Diego police arrested Whitmore on Jan. 27 and found cameras, computers, photos and videotapes inside his home. Also discovered were leather restraints, rope and handcuffs, according to court records.

Whitmore lost his job as a child counselor and computer expert at the Stein Education Center after he was arrested. Authorities said none of the abused children were students at the school.
