We know it was hot. Heat doesn't de-celerate, it accelerates how bugs grow. A number of experts were called. The very first expert, the man LE relied upon, the man Dusek has used in other cases, the man the police brought in to autopsy, Faulkner--he was called in as a prosecution witness to generate information. And what did he tell you? He's never been given the opportunity to do the kind of work, the kind of collection he was called to do this time.

Thank you, David Faulkner, thank you SDPD. This is their best. He was their best. And what did he have to say? Ahhhh, whoops! I've done the study, but I can't understand the time. Because on Mr. Faukner's timeline, dumping was 16-17-18.

Dr. Blackbourne testified bugs were coming out of her mouth. In terms of what the officers saw, in terms of what bugs were available, the prosecution's specious theory was that ants came along and ate the eggs. He said TOD was 10 days to 6 weeks. Fits within Faulkner's timeline.

Haskell performed a series of studies (Dusek yelled at Haskell, judge had to recess, remember?) he considered maggot mass.

Prosecution said Haskell considering maggot mass artificially inflated time. By one day. WE learned from Neal Haskell that there is a particular way in which life processes evolve and devolve. Start at death, and work backwards. Body doesn't re-compose after beginning to decompose. That's Rodriguez's theory. The body decays, putrifies.
