Well, if just Ed had said that, then maybe I'd be inclined to be a little more disbelieving. But I've heard Lois say it also and Cynthia Smart Owens. And from my own amateur research on the Internet, this is SOP, especially with child witnesses.

Thanks, Sherlock. There have been so many interviews. I do remember Cynthia Smart Owens saying this too, she was being interviewed by the LDS meetinghouse, I can see her say this, but I can't remember who was doing that particular interview...

I think you need to reread the article. The doctor nodded because he had been wakened from his sleep to hear the car go by and probably dozed back off soon. The doctor looked the other direction from the Smart house. The implication of the article, with the analogy to the coyote killing the animal, is that it sounded like a death scream.

I thought I read that Angela went to sleep around 1, and Ricci around 10 pm -- she was watching t.v. in bed, while he slept. Then they got up together, as usual, around 6 or 6:30.

Why would Thurber, her friend, lie about that.

As I recall, Thurber came across as being one brick short of a load when he appeared on TV. Can't imagine why you think his utterances are credible.

Read the part where Larry King is asking them if MK recognized the kidnapper. Just before the first break.

Did you hear Ed say, tonight, that 800 extra miles were on the Jeep's odometer? I wonder if he slipped & said something he shouldn't?

Actually, it's after the 2nd break, but it says absolutely nothing about the police telling them not to tell anything.

KING: One of the key questions -- did Mary Catherine know the person? We've never gotten an answer.

KING: The police must have. There's a hesitancy to respond. Have they told you not to respond on this end?
