The orange fiber found in van Dam's necklace, Shen testified, was everywhere in Westerfield's home. The witness told the court that it matched 20 to 30 fibers found in Westerfield's washer, 50 to 100 found on top of the washer, another 50 to 100 in his laundry, and 10 to 20 found in the bedding in his master bedroom.

So, since there was only 1 on Danielle, and IT WAS STUCK in her hair/choker, what is the likelihood that it got there from one of her visits with Mom?

If there were that many ORANGE FIBERS in DW's house, and DW took Danielle in the house, to his bedroom to rape/kill her, then why aren't there more fibers on/around her body?

The orange(Acrylic) fiber found in van Dam's necklace, Shen testified, was everywhere in Westerfield's home. The witness told the court that it matched 20 to 30 fibers found in Westerfield's washer, 50 to 100 found on top of the washer, another 50 to 100 in his laundry, and 10 to 20 found in the bedding in his master bedroom.

Did they ever find the source of these orange acrylic fibers?

Is Westerfields carpet orange? Did they ever get Susan L., Danielle L., Neal, to say that Westerfield owned an orange acrylic blanket that he had in the home or the MH?

If my memory serves me right. NO! So where did these fibers come from?

Was Brenda VanDams top she wore that night orange, red acrylic? Did they ever test that top?

I'd say that DW has something orange in his home, unless you know the exact source.

You know something that kind of "bugs" me? Why is it that forensic specialist Tanya Dulaney says "20 to 30 fibers found in Westerfield's washer, 50 to 100 found on top of the washer, another 50 to 100 in his laundry, and 10 to 20 found in the bedding in his master bedroom"?

If she's a specialist and this is evidence, why can it not be "26 fibers found in the washer, 64 found on top of the washer, another 53 found in his laundry, and 17 found in the bedding"? Did she just get tired of counting, or did she look at a little baggie in which tiny fibers were collected and make a "best judgment" estimate of the numbers? I would think precision would be a little more impressive than generalities. But that's just me.
