I didn't mean to imply Anne Geddes was a neighbor of the Smarts. There is a neighbor listed, that when the name is typed into Google, it turns up an art business that sells all kinds of art and posters, Anne Geddes included. When I first did this a few weeks ago, the website included a subject matter of erotica. It has now changed its subjects and doesn't include that as a title. It just made me a little suspicious.

Of course, newspapers NEVER tear, nor could DNA ever spill!

Well, I broke down and checked my messages. I saw your thoughtful note and felt the need to respond. I hope that this doesn't cost me a night's sleep.
I am not salivating. I have no desire or agenda to embarrass the Smart family. If you think that others have, I can't help that, but that's not me. I feel sorry for the family (Ed and Lois), even though I think that they have made huge blunders. Even more, I will admit that I have almost no respect for Ed as a man.
Having followed these threads faithfully, I cannot pretend to be ignorant of the accusations of homosexuality made in the National Enquirer about Ed, Tom, and other family members. But I have chosen to file those theories under the "if true, irrelevant" category. I cannot see many circumstances under which those scenarios would be pertinent, although I do see in the Van Dam case how the deviant lifestyle of the parents can bring harm to their children.
I do not choose which theories to espouse based on which are the most "fun." Because I do not see any of these theories as "fun" (although talking to you and others at FreeRepublic is certainly fun), I find it odd, to say the least, that you would suggest that I or others would pursue theories based on how much enjoyment we received based on such theories.
I think that Ricci and his cohorts are guilty based on the facts and the evidence as that I have determined them to be. I do not believe them to be the ringleaders or "brains" of the outfit, and so I would insist on more charges against more culpable persons.
I don't know what more your post is intended to cover, but I think that I will stop here and meet any further assertions which you might wish to make if and when appropriate.

>Or was it to keep any victim DNA from getting on the carpet?
I'd say that was the job of the blanket and whatever else might have been stashed in the plastic bags.
To: Silver25
What type of erotica? adult, children, homosexual? I wonder if this person was one of the neighbors that came over that night.
To: lakey
Ricci must have been in a real hurry to get the Jeep turned back in on Jun 8 to have not bothered stopping at a car wash on the way back and still having the blanket and post hole digger and bags of stuff in the back. What do you think the hurry was? Who do you think picked him up across the street?

When I first went to the website, there was an image of a woman, and it seemd to be a young woman. It just kind of stayed with me for days and then when I went back to it today, the site had been rearranged. It just keeps bothering me that the police reported some of the neighbors were out of town when they requested fingerprints. I'm just wondering, did they ever get all of the neighbors in?

Well, thank you. Thank you very much. That kind sentiment was well worth coming out of hybernation for. But now I'm back to (hopefully) bedtime, and so I will look forward to visiting with you tomorrow. I have found your comments to be most thoughtful and considerate as well.
To: Silver25
Now, it's bothering me. Maybe you should report it. If a neighbor was into porn involving young girls it's not too outlandish to suspect a connection to Elizabeth's disappearance. The page may still be cached on your system.
You may still be able to pull it up and make a copy.
A neighbor would know the Smart's routine pretty well.

"convoluted" is the perfect word for the timeline.

yeah I think you're right, the kidnapper(s) probably put Liz's body in several layers of big plastic garbage bags or something before putting her in the Jeep or else she took the ride alive with them. Whatever happened to that blood drop that was supposedly found in the Jeep? anyone know? I thought I heard something like that..... or maybe i'm thinking of a different story or something.

Yeah, maybe he was wearing that machette to pop the tab. I shudder to think what he did with that thing! It's a good thing Moul backed off the funny comments before he really ticked Ricci off!!!!

Probably wrapped up well by then. They did report they found blood in the Jeep soon after impounding it but never heard anything about it again.

I also wonder what Ricci's was doing for the entire day the Jeep was returned on the 8th? According to Angela there is no way her husband took that Jeep out. If that is the case I wonder if she knew her husbands wherebouts for the 8th and what he told her he would be doing that day or what he did that day. I wonder if anybody can account for his wherebouts the 8th at all?

"convoluted" is the perfect word for the timeline. Constructive criticism is welcome.

Hey, don't misunderstand me. A quip is one thing, believing your & Jolly Green's nonsense is entirely another.
You started out pretty good, then you got too far in the forest to see the trees.

All I know is he turned it in at about 5:30 PM on the 8th. I never heard her asked about the 8th in the TV interviews she did and she certainly never volunteered any information about it.
The only accounting for Ricci's time I've heard is that he took the neighbor & kids to a movie on Jun 5 around noon but then he and Angela missed Angela's son's baptism later that afternoon because they went to the wrong church and apparently the missionaries came back that evening. The baptism was on Jun 6 and Ricci worked from 10:30 - 7:00 and was interviewed sometime that day by police and his trailer was searched. Ricci's boss made a bizarre statement he didn't think Ricci built a fence in Wyoming because after Jun 6 he only had one day off in the next 5 but he didn't say which of the days he had off. Moul can account for Ricci's whereabouts at 5:30 pm on Jun 8.
Ricci was one of the first people interviewed by police and it's a shame they didn't put a tail on him. They unfortunately didn't take him off the street until Jun 14. It's the mistake of the case police didn't track down the whereabouts of the Jeep Ed Smart told them he had sold Ricci when they first interviewed him on Jun 6, that would have broken it wide open right there. I wonder if they even asked Ricci about the Jeep.
