Astronomy Fun Fact:

It was once thought that such dark patches were "holes" in the background of stars.
The most famous of all dark nebulae is of course the Horsehead Nebula in Orion.

Not descriptive enough. Terrifyingly dense or overpoweringly dense or overwhelmingly dense or sense-swampingly dense.
