Thanks, I just have a few questions. Do you use plastic ware for the freezer? I'm just trying to make sure and do you measure precisely? What do you use to crush your berries?

To freeze, we still use the KERR 12 0z. canning and jellied jars.

We are pretty precise when it comes to following the directions. (Strawberries can be a little more loose in regards to measurement, but Pectin and sugar should be exact!)

I'd love to say we stomp on the berries, but that might send you into a tailspin. We use a plastic potato masher.

Once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.

You won't regret it!

Well, my ISP decided to work again ..... at least for now ..... *sigh*

HOB ~~~ That freezer strawberry jam is the next best thing to fresh strawberries .... it is yummy!!! I have put it up in both jars and plastic freezer containers ..... whatever I have on hand. It's not something you have to be as particular about as when you are canning.

NY ~~~ Have you ever tried other fruits? I made peach jam one year and we didn't like it anywhere near as much ..... but the strawberry is scrumptious!!! My then-teenaged son used to even volunteer to go pick strawberries if I would make the stuff for him ..... :-)
