In the three-ring circus in Arlington, it was revealed that last week Moussaoui filed court papers that referred to The Evil One as "my brother in Islam and my Father in Jihad" and added "May Allah protect him."

He also stated that prosecutors would have to prove he was in Afghanistan to secure a conviction. Problem is - Moussaoui has already admitted as much.

NASDAQ closed yesterday lower than its post-9/11 low.

The FBI reports a female passenger allegedly tried to gain entrance to an airplane cockpit.

And scientists have linked smoking high amounts of marijuana to scschizophrenia.

Why I've been to Heidelberg many times. I've climbed the gazzilion and a half stairs to the Castle, and even peeked into the Ritters Hotel by the Holigheist Kirche. I learned to speak "shopping", "directions" and "food".

BTW, never confuse "ananas" with "bananas" when ordering.

Bit, see #420, and get used to it. And know in your heart that the word "my" never goes in a sentence with the word "wallet". The proper possesive is (at best) "our".

They both have a wonderful talent for telling stories with just enough embellishments to make it incredibly entertaining. John's nieces and nephews have been raised on "Uncle John" adventures. These poor kids saw John as a cross between superman and the evil villain depending on the story and their mothers role in the story.

It was very funny to watch them with John for the first hour or so.

See! It's stuff like that which causes me much grief. What is the etymology on ananas? I had to look it up. I can understand pomme de terre, because apple of the ground makes sense when talking about a potato. Pine-apple, in english, makes sense, considering the shape.

And while I'm complaining about the language... What is with the participles? They are WAY too many letters long.

Family stories. My mom is the absolute worst about telling family stories. And there is enough of kernal of truth that it makes refutation extremely dangerous.

Much to her consternation, I do my refutation in Bahasa Indonesia and so she doesn't quite know which part I'm challenging.

LD made a major mistake today. She called while I was out running an errand and asked me to pick her up at the "B" parking lot on campus. She thought it was very clear where she was.

But Auburn has divided it's parking areas into "A" lots, for faculty; "B" for grad students, and then descending from there. She didn't say WHICH "B" parking lot.

But the major part of the mistake is letting my parents know how she worded her request. She'll never live it down. At least not while they're living.

He is not eight. He had a birthday a while back. He's a precocious nine-year old, studying to be a doctor.

He just says he's eight in the hopes of eventually getting a break at the movies.
