In the three-ring circus in Arlington, it was revealed that last week Moussaoui filed court papers that referred to The Evil One as "my brother in Islam and my Father in Jihad" and added "May Allah protect him."

He also stated that prosecutors would have to prove he was in Afghanistan to secure a conviction. Problem is - Moussaoui has already admitted as much.

Parent orientation can be helpful, but yes, I remember most of it being "twaddle." It's been awhile, but it was helpful to hear that daughter might call one day, crying and saying that she HATES it and that she's going to FAIL and that there's no one there with the same interests, etc., etc..... Advice was good........Don't panic. Things will probably be just WONDERFUL within 24 hours or less. It was good advice.

I have a feeling that the issues we'll be facing this year are not going to be class related but rather culture shock related.

We're preparing now for some mentors and omsbudsmen to be operating. We also have a return ticket already purchased for LD to come back home.

I just received word that hubby has decided to move and will indeed be moving the end of this week. Good.

However, between moving my house and cleaning out and throwing stuff away at my parents house, I think I have the worst of it. Whatever I do, I'm still throwing away memories and what is left of a person's life. It is very hard on my mom. And I'm having to be brutal.
