In the three-ring circus in Arlington, it was revealed that last week Moussaoui filed court papers that referred to The Evil One as "my brother in Islam and my Father in Jihad" and added "May Allah protect him."

He also stated that prosecutors would have to prove he was in Afghanistan to secure a conviction. Problem is - Moussaoui has already admitted as much.

NASDAQ closed yesterday lower than its post-9/11 low.

The FBI reports a female passenger allegedly tried to gain entrance to an airplane cockpit.

And scientists have linked smoking high amounts of marijuana to scschizophrenia.

Were YOU able to stay cool at the pool??

When the boys were little we bought a summer membership at the nearby Hilton's pool. It was popular with young moms like me, and a bunch of little old ladies: LOL!

Anyway, when William was a baby, we had this big baby carriage, & I packed it in the car with all the other gear, and away we went to the pool.

When I got in to play with John, the older ladies were delighted to look after William, content and happy in the baby carriage. Oh the memories!

Well, there has been LESS BB chatter than last summer, but I've seen some.........oh yes. I've seen some.:)

The last 2 nights went a little better. I think it only took me 25 minutes to fall asleep last night. A big improvement.

My foot is doing well; the water aerobics class has helped, I think. I do the exercises when I remember but really, it is much better now.:)

Girlchild is doing pretty well this summer, esp. in comparison to LAST summer. She hasn't missed a day of work, and she's pleasant to be around.:)

Of course we are all a tad crabby this week because of the heat but this too shall pass.:)

Not here. A few days here and there but that's it.

Mainly though we just want the storms to cool things down. I keep having this fantasy about running outside and jumping into a snowbank. In my swimsuit.

Yes, I got in the water. Otherwise it would have been way too hot. I think I will make an effort to go down there this week by myself. It is relaxing and I could use the exercise. I haven't gone much the last few years (pool comes with our subdivision) because of other interests. However, although I am not exactly svelte there were lots of people way tubbier than I am, so I think I will go down there during the heat of the day and swim and read. Maybe I can pretend I am on vacation.

Once the grandkids start coming daily on the 15th, I will be down there every day, anyhow.
