We don't need more laws! Let's enforce the ones we already have. This is the only line I would change.
I think we have Way to many laws and we should get busy repealing as many as we can.

This essay appeared in the FreeRepublic.com on-line forum back in September 2000 under the title "I Am a Bad Republican" (picking up title changes and additions since then as it was forwarded around the Internet), and the person who posted it there has taken credit for it in a recent message in that same forum. Bootyist-monk took credit for it when he first wrote it and published it here. To wit, "A Democrat friend of mine sent me a list of how to be a "good Republican". This was my response." This was on 9/1/2000. It's pretty clear that he's the author of this -- too bad it's not quite so clear to snopes.com.

I believe a self-righteous liberal with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude.
How true.

this has been attributed to Carlin, Leary, Miller, and even Kid Rock. Personally, I could not care less who wrote it, other than to say that I agree with it wholeheartedly, it makes me smile and laugh every time I read it, and I can now print it to post on my frige. Thanks, CJ!

Carlin did write a somewhat-similar style piece in which narrow views were ascribed to conservative Americans. I thought it was well established that Carlin is a liberal. He didn't start out that way, but the 60s hippie movement seemed to adversely and permanently affect him.
