Is Naomi dating Bill Clinton?

Speculation is growing in New York about the depth of a relationship between Naomi Campbell and former US president, Bill Clinton. The British supermodel was seen lunching with Mr Clinton during a trip to Europe earlier this year. At the time it was claimed that the pair were just friends.
Reports in the US this week linked Miss Campbell with Doug Band, a lawyer and close friend of President Clinton who formerly worked as a White House aide. The two have been seen together at several Manhattan restaurants.
But the New York Post claimed yesterday that the relationship between Mr Band, who now works as an assistant to Mr Clinton, was merely a front.
Mr Band "has apparently been a conduit to Clinton's women in the past," the paper claims, noting that the lawyer was seen taking Monica Lewinsky to the 1995 Congressional Ball in Washington at the time the President was having his affair with the young intern.
Miss Campbell, 31, has been seen with a string of highprofile boyfriends in the past including rapper Puff Daddy, Oscar winner Robert De Niro and Adam Clayton of the rock band U2. She split from Formula One racing boss Flavio Briatore last August after a long on-off relationship. At one stage she and Benetton chief Mr Briatore, who is 15 years her senior, had hoped to marry and have children.
This year she admitted using illegal drugs in a breach of confidence action against the Daily Mirror for invasion of privacy when it photographed her leaving a meeting of Narcotics Anonymous.
She is believed to have been introduced to the 55-yearold former president through Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of disgraced publisher Robert Maxwell and a friend of the former president. The couple first met last December but their most public meeting came at a smart mountain restaurant in Austria in April.
Mr Clinton was said to have offered the use of his private helicopter to take her to the lunch date in the ski resort of Ischgl, but the model turned him down and took a cable car instead.
Mr Clinton was attending the World Summit for Youth and Economic Development at the time, while Miss Campbell was modelling in a fashion show in Milan.
A fellow diner said: "They were chatting away and seemed very at ease. They obviously enjoy one another's company."
Mr Clinton, who now earns nearly £6 million a year on a world lecture circuit, has admitted to several affairs in the past. His wife Hillary is now a US Senator and the couple lead largely independent lives.
According to Miss Campbell's mother Valerie, the president and her daughter are"not together in any way".
A spokesman for the model also told the New York Post: "Naomi is seeing Doug socially but not often. And she is absolutely not having a relationship with Bill Clinton.''
