We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
In a moment, the news, but first a very special message for the most highly distinguished jurists who sit in judgment on the United States Circuit Court for the Ninth Judicial District:
And now, the news:
The WorldCom announcement has reverberated through world currency markets. The dollar was near free fall, and crashed in value through several key milestones; the Euro is nearly on par with the United States currency.
An agreement has been reached between AMTRAK and the Administration how to finance a $200 million budget shortfall in the railline. Congressional assistance is required to finish the deal.
The chief US border patrol agent yesterday said the United States has an obligation to care for those illegal aliens who cross over the border into our Nation.
China intercepted an US F-15 north of Taiwan, coming within 150 feet of the aircraft - the closest since the incident on April 1, 2001.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Post your short news items, issues of interest, links, and so on. All who advance the Cause are welcome.
LET'S ROLL!!!
It will shut the courts up for all time.
The proposed Amendment would read along the lines:
Article 1: There shall be allowed a Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and it will take the form:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation, under God, with liberty, and justice, for all."
Article 2: Congress shall enact the necessary legislation to effect the language of this Amendment.
Article 3: This Article will become a part of the Constitution of the United States with the concurrence of three-fourths of the several states within seven years of its submission thereto by the Congress.
...will be up front & center protesting this decision!!
He's the bestest!
It seems he and his daughter felt like "outsider's" for quite awhile...
Newdow, an emergency room physician with a law degree acting as his own attorney, recently lost a bid in federal court in Sacramento to halt President Bush's faith references.
But a federal judge last month tossed out the suit to make President stop mixing politics and his Christian faith.
Newdow, 49, built his lawsuit against Bush around a prayer delivered at the 2000 inauguration by the Rev. Franklin Graham, son of evangelist Billy Graham, that was based on Christian beliefs and referenced "the Lord Jesus Christ."
Newdow complained that permitting any prayer at a presidential inauguration violated the First Amendment's establishment clause.
And, he said, Graham's references to Christian figures and concepts "further excluded theistic non-Christians" and "showed a preference for a particular religious belief." The prayer made him feel like an "outsider," he added.
He did not seek monetary damages but asked the court to enjoin Bush from drawing Christianity into his duties in the future.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kristin Sudhoff Door argued that courts lack authority to meddle in the internal affairs of other government branches.

Okay, I am out of here for a few days! Take care of Mel for me!
Mozie - how's that for a wake up call?
Never have I been more incensed by a court decision as I was by the the decision handed down yesterday by the 9th kangaroo court of weasles. I feel as though everything I've spent my entire adult life defending as a proud memeber of the Air Force was just given the middle finger by these two purveyours of judicial stupidity. It's obvious these morons do not understand that our Constitution garuntees freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion...
I was listening to Sean Hannity yesterday afternoon, and a little girl (about 4 or 5 yrs old) called in to talk to him about spanking (she was in favor of it!) and before getting into the topic, Sean asked her if she knew the Pledge of Allegience, to which she said yes, and then proceeded to recite it on the air...that alone almost brought tears to my eyes to help wash away some of the anger I was dealing with...maybe there is still some hope left!
AMERICAS WAR ON TERROR Day 290
The news as reported in The Washington Times:
[Note All links go to The Washington Times website.]
1. The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled the Pledge of Allegiance enacted in 1954 is unconstitutional because its inclusion of the words under God constitutes an unauthorized endorsement of religion; experts overwhelmingly predict the Circuit Courts Opinion to be overturned by the Supreme Court.
[Write your Congresscritters. We need an Amendment so this never happens again!]
2. President Bush will not budge one iota on the need for Arafats ouster.
[It is said the Israeli evidence solidly linking Arafat to financing terrorism provided the key to the Presidents opinion. IOW, Arafat is an idiot why on Earth would he, or the Europeans or the UN for that matter, believe the American President would react any differently after this Nations experience on September 11, 2001.]
Bush won't budge on Arafat ouster
3. The Washington Times has been bringing us news and views for 20 years.
[Yawn Day 4,543 of this story.]
CELEBRATING 20 YEARS: The Washington Times
4. A Federal judge has ruled unconstitutional the law that allows the State Department to designate groups as terrorist and allows those who then support those groups to be prosecuted. The Governments anti-terrorism campaign has been jolted, and would be thrown into disarray if the decision stands on appeal.
[This District Court Judge is in the Ninth Circuit. Want to wager on how the Circuit Court will rule? We need to place our hopes in the Supreme Court and we need to start impeaching some of these judges for their treasonous acts in a time of war!]
Judge strikes down law citing groups as 'terrorist'
5. In the closest encounter since April 1, 2002, a Chinese jet flew within 150 feet of an American reconnaissance plane.
[Initial reports had the American craft as an F-15. This dispatch shows it to be another P-3, such as was used on April 1, 2001.]
Chinese jet fighters fly near U.S. spy plane
6. The financial markets were rattled by the WorldCom announcement.
[If theres very bad news, dig deep and you will find UOx42 or his cronies. Would not be surprised to find that again here.]
WorldCom revelations rattle markets, investors
7. The chief US Border Patrol agent says the United States has a responsibility to care for illegals who cross into our Nation.
[No, we do not! They are not supposed to be here. This Nation has a responsibility to round them up and send them home. Period. This man needs to be fired!]
Top agent says U.S. must care for illegals
8. Twenty percent of the Districts police cars are in bad need of repair, but despite of heightened security requirements for next Thursday in light of the War on Terror, the city government has no plans to accelerate their repair and put them back in service before July 4.
[Yep, that fits the general approach of demonflops to the War. Incredible.]
Cop cars in D.C. in woeful disrepair
We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.
