OK....back to the salt mines.....house must be spiffy for Pastor :)
Then I went to work on my two Democratic Senators....Bill Nelson and Bob Graham. I tried to get Washington for the longest time, but apparantly the phone lines are jammed. So, I tried their offices here in Tampa. I finally got through to Sen. Nelson's office, and the poor girl there said that she had already taken OVER 2000 phone calls, and that every single one of them were AGAINST this ruling. Same when I finally got through to Sen. Graham's office. And I told them both that I am an American citizen and NO JUDGE IN THIS COUNTRY IS GOING TO TELL ME WHAT I CAN OR CANNOT SAY. That I would go on reciting the Pledge of Allegiance no MATTER WHAT they ruled. They agreed. I am assuming that Washington, DC is being swamped right now with outraged people calling their senators and congressmen/women.
One other thing that was confirmed by all 3 offices was this: the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has the highest record of having their rulings overturned. Sen. Graham's office told me that 29 out of 30 of their rulings had been overturned and this one would more than likely to be overturned as well. I said, "Well, I sure hope so..because that idiot in CA, and the other two idiots that made the ruling are going to have the WRATH OF AMERICA come down on them and they will have wished this day had never existed.
Now, I am listening to CSPAN-2 (I assume they called a special session on this?) and I am hearing that they will be taking a vote later today to tell the court in CA that they do not agree with this ruling..that's right....Democrats and Republicans actually working together in the Senate. I also mentioned to Senator Nelson's office that if people don't like it here in this country, if they don't like being profiled or whatever it is that is impoverishing them, than I would GLADLY pay for their tickets back to their homeland. She laughed and said, "I'm with you."
Okay...so....don't try and call Washington, you won't get through. Call their local offices in your state.
