Both Bacanovic and his assistant at Merrill Lynch, Douglas Faneuil, were placed on paid administrative leave by the firm last Friday. Neither Merrill Lynch nor lawyers for Stewart, Bacanovic and Faneuil returned calls for comment. Stewart has denied any impropriety.
Martha can just keep trying to ossify her position as a do-gooder, but her little empire is crumbling before her eyes. Normally I would be giving such a hard time to a person who has worked to make something of herself, but this particular female just irritates me beyond belief. Personally I think anyone who can be such a stickler and such a witch off TV has some serious issues. Perhaps her past actions are coming back to haunt her, who knows? But I do think that she’s reaping what she sowed. I have no sympathy for her.
