Use millions of acres of Government land for Reparations

I would support reparations for descendants of slaves if the payment would be a direct transfer to qualified individuals of millions and millions of government owned land.
Think about it. The black Americans could then truly receive their "40 acres" --- minus the mule.
I propose only using BLM, Forest Service and other properties. There'd be no use to go after Yosemite - yet.
However, would it not be delicious irony to seriously put this forward into a political debate before the American public?
What better to way to show the hypocrisy of the left by setting two of their interest groups against one another - the African Americans versus the enviro-wackos???
I like the idea.
What do you all think?

Why suggest any payment at all to those to whom nothing is owed?

I'm ticked pink by the idea. I would like nothing better than to see the mutually assured destruction of the Afro fascists and the enviro wackos. That would definitely make my day!!!!! :)

At least it would get some people to shut up about this whole ridiculous issue.
At the least, it would get some of that land out of the hands of the goverment and into useful productive uses.
Of course with the ESA (endangered species act), this might be moot.
I think it's definitely worth talking about, though.

"What do you all think? "
If you want to give the land to someone, give it to the people who pay the taxes to support this country.

I would hate to lose public lands, (although federal control of those lands is another issue). So I would have to oppose it if it ever looked like it would actually happen, but I like the way you think. Maybe we could modify this poison pill to be attractive win or lose.

These 6th generation descendents of slaves should seek reparations from the ones who sold them into slavery ... black Africans.

I agree, per loin. Sorry, but to cede anything would be a disaster. Then they'd whine about no schools, no medical care, no firehouses, etc. They'd hound us to death and end up costing billions more in infrastructure, and all for a debt that we don't owe to people to whom nothing is owed.

It would get the land into the private sector where it belongs.
It would shut up the Loonie Black Left. They might even have to vote republican after that. This could result in the total destruction of the dems voting coalition.

No. The intent is not to actually have anyone MOVE to the land parcels, rather, to use the land as it is being used now: for ranching, grazing and timber.
The proceeds would then be owned by the black Americans, making them taxpayers. Additionally, they would be free to sell or trade the land parcels for whatever and to whomever.
The intent is NOT to get anyone to move (although they would be free to do so if they desire).
The intent is to get some of this land into private hands and out of the control of the feds.

Why suggest any payment at all to those to whom nothing is owed? Any slave who has not received their fourty acres and a mule should be entitled to same if they apply in person. Descendents not eligible.
Decendants should receive reparation in Confederate dollars. As to what they do with those, I dunno, but my impression is that so many were printed that there are probably enough of them--even today--to pay out pretty large quantities to Jackson and his minions.
