VANITY (HELP!) Need IT advice on best way to stop harrassing emails from Riddlenut.com

I made the big mistake of inserting a block of "riddle a day" code from riddlenut.com on my personal homepage. An even bigger mistake was subscribing to their email list. In each email, a block of instructions is given to unsubscribe:

**************************************************************************
How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the Riddlenut.com mailing list:
1) Goto: http://www.net3media.com/unsubscribe.php
2) Check the "Riddlenut" radio button.
3) Type in your email address you used to join and hit send.
**************************************************************************
To unsubscribe by email send a BLANK EMAIL TO:
riddlenut-unsubscribe@info.net3media.com
The email MUST come from the email addy you subscribed with.
**************************************************************************

I have followed these instructions 4 times now and these jackholes are still sending me their stupid riddles.

What really pisses me off is that every time I block their email address, they change it enough to get through!!! Here are three different email addresses they have used to antagonize me:
riddlenut-admin@info.net3media.com
riddlenut@info.net3media.com
Mike @ Net3Media [mike@net3media.com]

I have lost my patience with these morons! If I knew how, I would crash their damn site!

TOPICS: Computers/Internet
KEYWORDS: email; harrassment
Can I get a little technical help from my IT FRiends here?

In your email blocking, try using wildcard * :

*@net3media.com or *net3media.com or *net3media* and see if that works.

Sounds like you would benefit from Mail Washer (new window). It's a free and fully funtional program that you run in front of your email program, and it bounces the offending email back as if your address is invalid. Since I put it on two months ago, and followed the procedure to Blacklist some sites, my email trash has dropped from 30+ a day to less than 5.

Mailwasher is a neat program. I've used it about a year.

Good luck.......not too long ago there was a foul up at Amazon.com and they sent me over fifty identical emails confirming my order was shipped. The more I complained, the more they sent.

Thanks for fixing my screwed-up link. I wish I could use it at work!
