AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 515) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 20, 2002 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Last night, a Cessna 182 was approaching Reagan National, and didn't properly identify itself to the control tower. The White House was evacuated. The plane closed within four miles of the mansion before turning away. The craft was then escorted by F-15s to Richmond, where the pilot was apprehended and interrogated. Authorities believed the pilot was simply lost.

Sen McPain (R?-Media) is at it again, with his old buddy Sen. Feingold. The latest notion? Airtime vouchers for candidates and political parties, to be paid for by a tax on broadcasters. Now the Government would be, were this notion to become law, be in the business of who can actually speak on television!

Fox News is reporting that United States troops will likely remain in Afghanistan for another 12 to 18 months.

The FBI has informed all field offices to watch July 4 celebrations to protect against potential terrorism.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I am certain you are correct. It is not hard to see why many of the incoming people would feel this way, since X42 made a concerted effort over the last year of his Administration to move political people into career positions. It would tend to make one a tad suspicious, which is unfair to all the regular folks who were just doing their jobs.

Blue Moon sign and painted over the advertisement Yeah well, now that the owner has received more publibity than he could imagine, paint over it. Sounds as though his plan worked.

GOOD MORNING!!

gc6, LOL!!! That was a great try!

Neets, Bit, Jemian, Abg, Fun and banter this morning!

Great start Chair, as usual! Thanks!

Last night I went to our graduation at the Adult Educatioin Center in Fairfax,Va. It is such a blessing to see men and women who have struggled to pass a 2 or 3 year certificate program walk across a stage to get their "diplomas". Some of these women come from abusive homes, others have just never been successful in completing anything in their lives, and others are recovering drug users. Believe me, they work very hard to stay in this program and to pass. Mr. HOB went with me and said the ceremony plus reception afterwards was very touching. I believe the Lord blessed us all last night. It emphasizes why some need more help themselves to help each other become citizens. I met one of my students father who had traveled from South America to be here for his daughter. That is quite a trip!

I received this in a e-mail this morning. I don't know if any of you have seen it but it is quite touching. I hope you enjoy it although it is sad.....

Well, this one made me bawl, so read with caution.

Her hair was up in a ponytail Her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, And she couldn't wait to go.

But her Mommy tried to tell her, That she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, If she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid; She knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates Of why he wasn't there today.

But still her mother worried, For her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, She tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school, Eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees A dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back, For everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, Anxious in their seats.

One by one the teacher called, A student from the class. To introduce their daddy, As seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, For a man who wasn't there.

"Where's her daddy at?" She heard a boy call out. "She probably doesn't have one," Another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back, She heard a daddy say, "Looks like another deadbeat dad, Too busy to waste his day."

The words did not offend her, As she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, Who told her to go on.

And with hands behind her back, Slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, Came words incredibly unique.

"My Daddy couldn't be here, Because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, Since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, And how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories He taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, And taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes, And ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him, I'm not standing here alone.

"Cause my daddy's always with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart"

With that, her little hand reached up, And lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, Beneath her favorite dress.

And from somewhere in the crowd of dads, Her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, Who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love Of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, Doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down, Staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, But its message clear and loud.

"I love my daddy very much, He's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, But heaven's just too far.

You see he was a fireman And died just this past year When airplanes hit the towers And taught Americans to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes, It's like he never went away." And then she closed her eyes, And saw him there that day.

And to her mother's amazement, She witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, All starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them, Who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, They saw him at her side.

"I know you're with me Daddy," To the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, Of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it, For each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, By the love of her shining bright star. And given the gift of believing, That heaven is never too far

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

Send this phrase to the people you'll never forget and remember to send it also to the person that sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them. If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry and that you've forgot your friends.

Take the time...to live and love. Until eternity. God bless.

Good morning, everyone.....I just read your posts to me from yesterday. Well, we (Denver Metro AND Hayman fire area) all got about 1/2" rain overnight. There is no smoke in the Denver Metro area this morning. Tell you what, the best thing I can do is to post the links to a couple of the local TV stations, so that you all can go and find out all kinds of info....

KUSA - 9NEWS (NBC) Hayman Fire website link
KCNC - NEWS4 Colorado (CBS) homepage

The latest on the Forest Service Technician is on them both.
I work just a couple of miles north of Roxborough Park. Hopefully, this will provide lots of the latest info to everyone.

My prayers are with all of you with the situation of the fires. I spent a lot of time in Ft Collins in the late 50's, almost married a girl from there. You have one pretty state for sure, I hope and pray for more rain for you.

If some dolt is calling you a racist, that means he doesn't have the intelligence to respond to you in a meaningful way, and it's too difficult for him to respond because you are right.

When a liberal calls someone a racist, it's because they have nothing to refute a reasoned statement.

Pretend those hedges are the guy who freepmailed you!

I don't know whether to laugh our flame the butthole..

Generally, IMO, those folks are not worth the effort. Dog, you, like most pubbies, are not racist - not one single bit. You, I, and the rest of the right-wing would love nothing better than to see everyone have the ability to be fully participating members in the American experience.

It is not possible for certain elements to be fully participating members if other folks - by and large demonflops - believe they are incapable, meaning they require the assistance of others.

It is degrading to those folks. It establishes a premise of superiority and inferiority - a class structure. Worse, it is a class structure based solely on race and ethnicity. The demonflops are in denial about this - they will pine forever they are not, and have not, created any kind of caste structure based on race, but the reality is they have.

The left does not want minorities to succeed - they will then lose their power base. They have engineered a whole system with the goal of ensuring minorities never succeed except to the extent they allow it.

Now who, exactly, is racist?
