It really ought to have a check box (default off) for WYSYWYG formatting (no HTML).

And I still don't see why the original post has to be included in the new reply page. IMHO, better an option to cause a new window to be spawned when replying, and where the window goes away when Post is hit.

I'd like to auto-detect HTML, or rather the lack of HTML, and then do the WYSYWYG thing.

The original comment is included in the form because spawning a new window is not an option: it confuses people and some limited browsers cannot spawn windows (WebTV.) If the inclusion of the original comment proves to be a bother, I'll make it an option.

I like to think of it as encouraging people to learn HTML. :-P

With the rewrite of post, I've paved the way to include smarter code. Shouldn't be long now. Probably later tonight.

John this just feels so ordinary..like a hundred others..FR used to be different..easy and user friendly..this is not a huge change..but it looks like all the other wanna be forums now..

I still get 250 results on the "Latest Posts" page like I have my "Thread Preferences" set for even though I only want 50 results on the latest post page.

Not to keep harping on you. (Thank God that checkbox is gone because I won't check it without knowing what it does)... One of best things that you could still do is to include a check box to turn off the word wrap. It would make it much easyier to copy and paste without using a third program to format.
