[history]
Last Christmas, thieves stole Nicolas Cage's $100,000 Porsche and ditched it in a lake. There was a time when the news would have devastated the Academy Award-winning actor, whose auto collection once included a Lamborghini owned by the shah of Iran.
But not the new Nicolas Cage.
"I'm actually trying to be a little more spiritual and try to condense things down," Cage says in an interview to promote his new movie, "Windtalkers," opening today. "I will always love automobiles as art, but what gets a little scary is when you start to worship them like false icons."

He's always been good and OK in my book. "Leaving Los Vegas" was good and so was an old one of his "Valley Girl". Contrast this with Tom Hanks who I cannot bear to see in a movie and won't. Same for Will Smith. Morgan Freeman is another I avoid.

He is good, but he always looks so gloomy. Like someone just ran over his dog. He needs to be paired with someone who will tease him a bit.

What was the name of the movie he did with Tea Leone where he had dated her years ago, then went through kind of a time warp thing and ...oh, was is "Family Man"? That was a pretty good movie.........
