J. Stark is brown-nosing to keep better access to the players. Misleading statistics, and twisted logic. Houston isn't even a top 10 market, and nobody is buzzing about the NBA, the only blip was when it looked like the KIngs might have an upset chance. Long-term dynasties are not good if its only one or two.

Baseball has teams, the NBA has personalities. Do you ever think you'll hear, "I wanna be like Ichiro"? The stars carry the league in the NBA.

If that is the case, then how did the Major Leagues prosper as long as they have, considering the Yankees have been a dynasty since about 1921 (excepting the late 60s)?

How did the NBA come to prominence during the great runs of the Celtics and Lakers?

Personally, I believe that dynasties are great for sports. When I think back to the 70s in baseball, I don't think about how much better it would have been had there been more teams to make it to the top. I think about how freaking great the Big Red Machine was, how great the Bronx Zoo was, and what might have been for the Dodgers, Royals and Red Sox if not for those others.
