A nice spot in the infield to watch the race

Good morning everyone. How you all have a great Saturday.

We are having a lot of fun with the grandkids. We were going to take them to DC today, (Saturday) but have you read the Drudge Report today? There is a terrorist warning for NY and DC subways from now until the 4th of July.
So I think we take them to the Putt Golf place to play and ride the go carts. Hey, now that I've lost weight, maybe I can fit into one of those carts? HA! HA! HA!

Gee I sure hope Hillary doesn't show up for the horse race. She should be in Oxford giving her daughter some advise, IMHO.

BigwaveBetty, yes, ole Skakel finally got what he deserved. I feel so sorry for Mrs. Moxley. She had to wait almost 30 years to get justice for her daughter's murder, and that is a crying shame. No one should have to wait that long just because they are Kennedys. I hope they give him the max.

Good morning.

I'm glad that the Chicago owner will get some of the winnings. I'm sure it's heartbreaking for him to have sold War Emblem only to see him win.

Well, War Emblem may have a Saudi owner (20 days before the Kentucky Derby) but he was born and raised in the Heart of America.

Good morning. Have a great day with the kids, and your new skinny self. Props to you on your willpower and dedication. ;-)

Bob Baffert was on the DonImus radio show talking about the race and WarEmblem. Bob also has a piece of the action, and said that they were just plain lucky with the purchase.
We'll see if their luck holds.

I think 'Magic Weisner' will be the longshot today at 15-1, that is a good bet right now.

Good grief! Look at how those women dressed to go to Belmont. What an embarrassment to our gender.

Indeed shame on Breslin, I hope he's not planning of practicing child psychology. It could be the child has been thinking about what could have happened, or what could still happen, and he just wants to fulfill his life's dream before it's too late. I'm not saying that is what the child was thinking, but it certainly is a possibility. I'll bet that never occurred to dingbat Breslin.

I sure hope he doesn't have any children. I could see him telling a child who had just witnessed a beloved family pet getting hit by a car to get over it. (maternal rant/)

I think I might just faint. Those folks are dressed for Woodstock, not the Belmont Stakes. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE INSISTING ON LOOKING LIKE SLOBS!!!!

And these are people right off the grandstands, you can see the main balcony right in back of them.

Excellent find on Breslin. I keep going over his speech in my head and am ashamed that he was our keynote speaker. I am waiting for transcripts of the speach, but if they don't become available I will buy the tapes and transcribe them. I really think that it's important for us to all read what he said. It will boggle your mind. The man had no shame. It was a big glimpse inside of an arrogant liberal mind and it wasn't pretty.

Wife beater t-shirts appear to be the trend, while your drunken companion falls asleep at your side..

I'm not sure what all Bob's got. He sounded plenty sharp, but at the same time very humble, self-effacing, and funny. Prolly a FReeper.
