The Final Illusion

Doug McIntosh

Memorial Day Meltdown is bubbling along quite nicely thank you. No, the Stock Market hasn't crashed yet, but the system is failing. If you are not careful, you will soon have a dent in your head from the falling economic debris. Even Maria, Maria of CNBC fame is now being exposed, besides her bosom I mean, for the fraud she always was. Enron memos are showing up that imply the California energy crisis was rigged. Gee, what a surprise. The New York Attorney General is investigating Wall Street because, GASP, the stock research was slanted. President Pretzel is trying to explain how he didn't really ignore warnings of the September 11th attack, he just didn't take them seriously. And the Democrats have turned on the scandal detecting device they conveniently left off the whole 8 years Clinton was in office. Why it's enough to make a person cynical it is. I mean, we all know our leaders are incompetent traitors, we just didn't realize they would be THAT incompetent and traitorous.

Ah, the twilight of the United States is unfolding before my very eyes. Just watch the evening news for a month, followed by the "Don't Worry be Happy-and be sure and buy something, television shows" and you will realize America is through. Just wait till whoever, and for whatever reason, hits us again. The entire system will collapse like the farce it is. The great flock of my fellow countrypeople know what is going on in their pigeon minds. They know they are being lied to by corrupt, incompetent and amoral asses. They just have made the decision they cannot deal with it mentally. So the vast majority of Americans simply act like all is normal. Even as the terrorist alerts pile up and even as terrorist plots are foiled right and left, people maintain the final illusion of normalcy in America. I find the denial mechanism simply fascinating. I'm dosed with chemtrails nearly every day, but the local weather broadcast doesn't mention a word about it. Now that, is information control worthy of anything the Third Reich practiced.

As for economics, does it really matter anymore? My thoughts are leaning towards domestic terrorist strikes with weapons of mass destruction, civil war inside the United States between the various racial and economic groups and overseas military disaster leading to the invasion of the United States. The context of our times is a civilization in collapse. The context is global chaos on a scale not seen since Rome fell. The context is the scum that rule this planet are going to take it down with them. And here am I just drifting along the current, waiting for the dam to break and the roaring flood to overwhelm me. Will my gold protect me when they shut the banks like they did in Argentina? Will my guns protect me when civil war breaks out? Will my health protect me when biological weapons are used? Will anything protect me from the lunacy about to explode on this planet over the next decade? Hell, I have no idea. I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band as the Moody Blues used to sing. It's true I don't know anything. The important thing is I realize I don't know anything. This, in my opinion, is the beginning of wisdom.

The GATA lawsuit was crushed. The stock market and economic manipulations continue unabated by Mr. Magoo and his clowns. The system desperately continues to try and maintain the final illusion all is well. Unfortunately, reality is intruding into the little garden party in the form of the Mask of the Red Death. Sure, the illusion can be maintained for a while longer. My timing may be off, but the system is coming down, politically, militarily, economically, ecologically and psychologically. Whatever American television tells us, and no matter how much Prozac people take, Americans are suffering from mass lunacy. All except me, who always having been crazy am doing just fine. Actually, I'm in my element now. I intend to enjoy myself in what little time we have left before TSHTF. In fact, assuming either the Red Chinese or North Koreans use the missile technology Bill Clinton gave them to vaporize Portland, I shouldn't have to worry about anything. I've calculated that, if home, I will be on the outer edge of the impact crater and, if at work, at the outer edge of the primary blast and heat wave. Works for me. None of this running around eating Alpo garbage. They go nuke and I want out cleanly. Biologicals I'll take my chance with my immune system and healthy lifestyle. Urban chaos, civil war and foreign invasion, I'll take my chances with my 12 gauge. Economic collapse and I'll take my chance with my 12 gauge also. Take my word for it: you do not want to meet me when I'm in survival mode and have a loaded shotgun in my hands. If all that happens is civilization collapses, I'll do just fine.

Considering what is likely to happen economically in the United States over the next few months and years, I'm amazed the illusion is holding up. Japan is about to have its entire banking system declared insolvent by the rating agencies. Half of Argentina's population lives below the poverty line and they shut the banking system down last week. Just went on TV and shut the banks down. Amazing. By all means, keep some gold, silver and cash on hand physically, in a safe place, at your home. I believe soon the same thing will happen in the United States. Gold is starting to move up, although it's unclear to me how much it will be allowed to move up. There is a very real possibility any capital gains will be taxed away as "windfall profits." Or a national economic emergency will be declared and gold seized. If you think they won't do it, you are naive. The same crowd who has rigged the economic system for years will do whatever they have to stay in power. They don't mind some gold increase, Buffet wants to make some money on his 100 million ounces of silver, but they won't allow things to get out of hand. Gold will never be allowed to go to $1000 an ounce in my opinion. The damage to the derivative market will require a savage response from the FED. You will be faced with the choice of selling it and paying a huge special tax, or burying it in your backyard for another fifty years. That's the way I see it, so save your e-mail. Send it to Mr. Magoo as if he cares. Unless you think they won't be able to do this since the entire system has collapsed. If they can, they will and if they can't, you will need guns and not gold. So long as the current corrupt group is in charge of the planet, fiat money and the fiat bubbles thus created will be protected at all costs. Take a hard look at the people control systems being introduced on a global basis, the microchips, cloning, cameras, identification systems, economic verification systems, and tell me they aren't moving to crush gold once and for all. Like Star Trek's Borq say, "You will be assimilated, Resistance is Futile." Precious metals will make it an interesting fight, but Mr. Magoo is quite willing to impose dictatorship to keep things under the control of the globalists. On the other hand, the Borq lost didn't they Mr. Magoo? The fight for economic freedom will reach its climax soon. Things are going to get very interesting in the United States over the next five years. Very interesting indeed.

"Therefore, by objective standards, the leading managers of the U.S. economy...are collectively, clinically insane." Lyndon LaRouche

I don't think this is the typical doom and gloom scenario
I think some things are off
The Dem Party has been taken over by gangsters
The GOP doesn't have a clue of how to deal with it
just seems to be gleeful when their poll numbers are high and they can still win elections
Several governments in Latin America have been taken over by gangsters now
On international front where enmity has existed long time between neighbors, there seems march to war
And the war on drugs is dragging our government down with its corrupt tentacles

Then some candidate will be elected president who understands economics or who knows who does and things will ease back into actual prosperity ....

-------------------------

I'd settle for a candidate who understands something about anything, but we haven't had one since Reagan.

The problem I see here is that the damage being done is permanent and can't be reversed simply by electing a new president down the line. Our entire economic infrastructure is being exported. Our cultural infrastructure is being fragmented. Our necessary ideological infrastructure is dissolving and will soon not even be found in history books.

We need a president and some leadership now. Thjree or six or ten or fifteen years from now is too late.

i don't see how anyone can argue with this. to me, this is realism. but, of course, we all perceive "reality" differently, don't we?

Hi RLK
You did not give examples, so I do not know what you are referring to
ideologically I think liberalism died, prolly half lifelong liberals will remain so till the end, but other half are opening eyes to different ideas
I don't think liberalism is picking up many new converts
libertarianism offers fresh vision of freedom, people wanting freedom grows exponentially
culturally, I think Hollywood has pretty much had it, but the Internet is thrilling new mode of communication
it too grows exponentially (more than libertarianism :)
economically, typically prosperity is brought bout by peace and trade
it is trouble time in world
there may be turmoil and shake ups
but I think most people will be fine

chrissie, I am not so sure our fellow citizens have pigeon minds
if it were so I bet billclinton would have succeeded in his bid to be our tyrant
the tsunami who walked on broken glass to vote for Bush is what saved our Republic

how does he know what vast majority of Americans think
before I found Internet, and just watched news 24/7
I felt like I was only one who saw thru clinton and wanted him Impeached
it was only on Internet I discovered I was not alone
Is he getting his impression of how vast majority of Americans think from the media
Look how radically my ideas have changed over past few years
maybe lots of people are going thru changes
I have watched my hubby go from liberal to libertarian over this past year

Everybody...Go back up to this entry of RLK's and read it...I couldn't say it any better...I have faith in Bush's actions so far in light of the fact that the Senate is fighting him tooth and nail...He hasn't done everything perfect, but I'm not building a bunker or shopping for CBW Suits...Gov't is too big, period...Stop being scared and campaign for people who want to lay off 40% of govt workers...Fiscal conservatism can allways pull a country full of educated people out of a nose dive...But the Educational system is a total heap of DUNG...We're really going to pay for not paying closer attention to the liberal bias of News and Colleges...get used to it...educate a young person for your own sake...

LIGHT BULB! We should have a kids views thread to let them express themselves and then we could have a no choke holds policy of helping them with formulating coherent thoughts without the usual pugilistic truculence that is the FR I know and love:-D

GOOD for you! I don't like liberal people in Seattle that much and the NRA kept me informed... I never had any feelings of being unique or alone...

It wasn't until I met one of my regular pals at my favorite watering hole and read the Impeachment order for Clinton to him out loud and a welfare loving, reagan bashing someone(not the owner) said "Take that SH!# out of here!"...I unloaded on him so hard(verbally only, I'm a white hat good guy) I got banned from the bar...never even got my nachos...Never been back to that place-still looks like a dump...Anyway...You're not alone, friend...and you're smarter than a disturbing number of your fellow Americans...Get em Freepin and the proudly ignorant rest?...don't scare em or you might lose your margarita rights! I LOVE tequila!!!

I agree with you
it may be too late already
the crucial moment was when George Bush took Office
we are living his leadership now
his polls are very high
most freepers are pleased with him
discounting leftists (who live in their own fantasy world)
I think only 10% is not happy with his leadership
the kind of changes I want (like stopping the war on drugs)
won't come from presidential leadership
but from the continual awakening of our citizens

hi sleaveless
thanks for your friendly post
absolutely you are right, President Bush wants to do what is best for USA
The Dems are fighting him tooth and nail
We are fortunate to have honest decent President now
whether his choices are best ones, we can only judge from results
You are dead right that fear or hopelessness accomplishes nothing
The whole point is to realize this is time of golden opportunity to take advantage of it, to try to make government reflect our best dreams

In reply to the most optimistic who read this article. I say this. If the Conservative cause is going to become consistant player in US politics, it will have to do so with the likes of those that think the same. To believe for a moment that quickly running around and trying to garnish all the minority votes is going to do this is, in my opinion, mis-guided. The past 5 or 6 decades have allowed enough Liberal Garbage to be pushed through the Us Congress that todays society looks minority, acts minority and, will vote minority when they finally become the majority of the population. California may as well be part of Mexico and, Texas, after reading the last few news articles concerning the local school districts may as well follow suit.

These people flocking into this country don't want what we offer as a free society, they want we have and, they want control. They were trained by the Liberals to come here, legal or illegal, flood the political process till you get a position of power then screw every body.

If this rant seems to be pointed and focused on the minority population and does not touch on the other points of the posted Epistle. IT IS BY DESIGN

I might also add I'm not against any minority. I just would expect then to respect us and our customs. The hell with their customs they came here! Or at least stop jamming them down my throat via the corrupt, immoral you know who!

All the problems this country has are due to three basic things.

First and Foremost Liberal, Ant-GOD,Immoral Democrats.

Second and, the end result of the first. The minorities who have come here and want to bring their Country with them and say the h--- with our laws.

Third and most disturbing is Joe Lunch Box who is led around by his nose and is concerned more about who is pitching in tonights ball game than who's taking his wallet out of his pocket.

If george Bush gets re-elected, I'm sure it will be because they claim it was due to the minority vote. Listen to this closely. "We won because we got more of the Minority vote". If you listened you heard that minorities have just elected the president of the good old USA. All you others voters were very secondary in the election.

We here this now every election. We willingly accept the fact that people in the minority are being credited with electing others to office as if the Majority of the other voters had ZERO affect. Point made I hope! End of story

Is he getting his impression of how vast majority of Americans think from the media

while i love your positive attitude, i see it like the author does. after attending a recent 'bill of rights' rally in austin, at the capitol, where only 40 or so people out of a population of 750,000 attended, i feel very pessimistic.

our friend, rick stanley, who is the organizer of these rallys, flew to salt lake city to speak at one and ONLY 7 people attended!! he was pretty disheartened as well.

If Rick Stanley runs for Prez I'll vote for him
(I bet my hubby would too)
both Gop and Dem Parties know the secret of winning elections is getting out the vote
whoever gets out the most voters wins
Jesse Ventura used interestin' strategy to get out the vote
I think that's how he won
he got lotta voters who had never voted before
plus libs and conservatives who wanted his new approach

I planned never to vote again after GOP made choices I didn't want after 2000
but my friend Kim is running for State Senator on Libertarian ticket
so I planned to show up and vote for her
(I thought ''since I'm there I'll vote for all the other Libertarians'')
but now that I've become gung-ho Libertarian
I can't wait to vote the Libertarian ticket

I wonder what the author's purpose in this article is
is it to inspire us to go out and vote libertarian
or is it to express anger and frustration
I am not sure Libertarians can win with negative attitude
people vote for what they want
Love, Palo

the problem with letting fear, anger, or hopelessness enter ones thinking
is then the mind can only see a partial picture
that is the author's problem here
in order to see the whole picture, someone has to balance their moods
