Dark Horzizions (Movie news site) is reporting that Natalie Portman will appear on the 'Return of the Jedi-Star Wars Episode VI' Digital Video Disc.
Music Television apparently re-iterated rumours that Natalie Portman (Senator/Queen Padme Amidala) has signed on to be a part of the new scenes being filmed for 'Episode VI-Return of the Jedi'
She will shoot scenes during the production of Episode III ('Rise of the Empire?-ed.) which will then be re-inserted into the Digital Video Disc release of 'Jedi.'
I like 'Rise of the Empire' but Lucas could just about title it anything he wants and still gross 400 million domestic..
'Beautiful Girls' is my favorite movie with Natalie in it..(including both Star Wars!) she is so funny and wise in the movie-a really great script
(ouch, ow, oof, stop throwing stuff already!)
Actually, after seeing Episode II, Attack of the Clones, I have no idea what Lucas will name Episode III. The name "Attack of the Clones", despite it's B-Movie flavor, does not accurately convey the content of the film. A more fitting name would have been "The Clone Wars" or "Empire Rising" or "Splintered Republic" or something like that. The attack made by the clones was not the central premise of the movie. The central point was the conspiratorial splintering of the Republic causing additional "emergency" powers to be given to Chancellor Palpatine that he uses to create the Grand Army of the Republic made up of the clone warriors to fight the staged war between the Republic and the seperatists' droid armies. That, along with setting the scene for the fall of Anakin in Episode III (he's already falling, he can't marry Padme and remain in the Jedi Order - the conflict has been set for Episode III).
The actual use of the Clone warriors in a rescue operation and the pre-emptive strike on the Secessionist's droid army on Geonosis is not the central point of the movie. It was simply an initial demonstration of the power of the Clone armies that will spread through the galaxy to bring it under the tyrannical control of Palpatine/Sidius. The movie deserved a different, better name.
As for Episode III names that I think would make sense (who knows what Lucas will actually call it), I think it should be named in such a way that Episode IV's "A New Hope" makes sense. The title should convey the fall of the Republic, the fall of the Jedi (and their extermination), and the fall of Anakin. "Darkness Falls", "The Falls", "Descent into Darkness", I don't know - but you get my point I hope.
You think? Maybe they'll put her face on JarJar's body....
"Good,I will see to it that in the Senate, things stay as they are...."
I heard Qui-Gon's voice. But I heard it when Yoda was meditating in the Jedi Temple, feeling that Anakin was in extreme pain.
Yet, in Rogue Planet (which takes place between Episodes I and II) Obi-Wan and Anakin both hear Qui-Gon's voice from time to time.
No one said that a Jedi Knight could not speak from the beyond. We were discussing that they did not disappear upon death like the Jedi Masters did.

Oh yeah, originally it was to be called 'Revenge of the Jedi', the planet of Ewoks was going to be a planet of Wookies and David Lynch was going to direct it! Instead he did 'DUNE', and Lucas chickened out with the wookies and the revenge bit......real shame.
My non-reader child (in a family of bookworms) really had me concerned. Then the discovery of Star Wars and the mind-boggling sets of fan-fiction books, and I now have a kid who's read almost twenty big books since Christmas!! Not to mention the easier sets of juvenile fiction.
A shame Lucas is stopping with these six. Would enjoy seeing Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford play grandma and grandpa to little Jedis.
But the story I'd really enjoy is the Life of Yoda.
I dont think Anakin would be able to kill Dooku! He was nothing compared to Dooku! Yoda had a hard time with him! The series is not what you think. Why are the Jedi in hiding? That is the greatest puzzle?
I dont think Padme every leaves the Republic, I think she would die first. She has Luke and Leia by Dooku.Padme finnaly dies. They are stolen by Anakin out of his love of Padme. Renamed and hidden in places Anakin knows. He dies and IV starts.
My guess.
Padme is also to be coddled - she'll make decisions that play right into our hands.....
