George Lucas Filming Scenes to Insert Natalie Portman into 'Return of the Jedi' (Movie from 1985!)

Dark Horzizions (Movie news site) is reporting that Natalie Portman will appear on the 'Return of the Jedi-Star Wars Episode VI' Digital Video Disc.

Music Television apparently re-iterated rumours that Natalie Portman (Senator/Queen Padme Amidala) has signed on to be a part of the new scenes being filmed for 'Episode VI-Return of the Jedi'

She will shoot scenes during the production of Episode III ('Rise of the Empire?-ed.) which will then be re-inserted into the Digital Video Disc release of 'Jedi.'

I read a rumor that she would be seen at one of the celebrations at the end of the movie. So, it sounds like she may not die in the next movie.

If Lucas keeps all of this up, he may have to title the whole series, "Attack of The Groans".

Do Jedi spirits adopt the image of their appearance at death?

Will we then know how old Padme was when she died? Or will that be obvious from ep3?

Will she have her shapely arm around husband Anakin?

But, Amidala was not a Jedi, so how can she come back like the other Jedi? More than likely, she will fake her death and go into hiding until the Empire is overthrown.

Yep... it fits with the "celebration scene" rumors. So, this would be the Re-Re-Return of the Jedi or the REALLY Special Edition, I reckon.

I wonder how much Natalie Portman is being paid to appear in that one scene. After all... it is the FINAL scene in the entire film series (since Lucas decided not to do episodes 7-9).
